A Collaborative Pack With the Progenitor of Sneaker Journalism: A Look Back at the 2007 Kool Bob Love Air Force 1s
Bobbito Garcia AKA "Kool Bob Love" has worn many hats over the course of his storied career. From professional basketball player, to DJ, to renowned filmmaker, it's clear that Garcia has enjoyed seeing his influence reach across a variety of mediums. In addition to all of these roles, Garcia can also lay claim to being one of the original sneaker journalists thanks to his landmark 1990 Source article "Confessions of a Sneaker Addict". In 2007 Nike came along to give the long-time sneaker lover an opportunity to add the title of Nike collaborator to his long list of roles; thus the Kool Bob Love Air Force 1 Pack was born.
The pack includes three premium Air Force 1 Lows and four premium Air Force 1 Highs that feature vinyl and basketball logos, to represent two of Garcia's greatest loves, as well as the word "LOVE" as a reference to his nickname.
For those interested in owning a part of this iconic pack, we currently have 4/7 of the pairs available in deadstock condition; those being the Wheat Highs, Red Highs, Blue Highs, and Green and Purple Lows which can all be found here. The missing pairs are two lows with a similar colourblocking to the Purple and Green pair (pictured above), and a high-top pair dubbed 'Beef and Broccoli' due to the dark brown and green tones used throughout.
